The American Herbalists Guild was founded in 1989 as a non-profit, educational organization to represent the goals and voices of herbalists specializing in the medicinal use of plants. Our primary goal is to promote a high level of professionalism and education in the study and practice of therapeutic herbalism.

The 2008 AHG Symposium is taking place on October 24-26, 2008 (preconference intensives on October 23) at the Marriott Town Center in Redmond, Washington. "Botanical Medicine in Oncology, Immunity, and Chronic Illness" is the theme of this year's conference.

2008 AHG TeleSeminars
Join us September 8 for the third evening in our 2008 TeleSeminar Series!
The 2008 AHG Tele-seminar Series enables you to attend workshops on botanical medicine without traveling from your home or office. Taught by AHG professional members, they are a convenient and cost-effective way to explore issues and enhance your knowledge of topics in the practice of herbal medicine. These one and one-half hour phone conferences will provide attendees with an opportunity to pose questions to the teacher. The registration fee for each tele-seminar is $25 for AHG members ($15 for students), and $45 for non-members. The AHG will issue a Certificate of Attendance to all participants (i.e. for Continuing Education purposes).
Because there is a capacity to the phone-server we are currently using, registration will take place on a first-come, first-serve basis. To reserve a space, you can register online (See Below), by phone, or mail a check to the AHG office.

A long-time AHG professional member, Chanchal has an extensive background in orthomolecular nutrition and allergy therapy as well as clinical aromatherapy. She has held the faculty chair in Botanical Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster since 2004 and she serves on the board of advisors of Dominion Herbal College in Burnaby. Chanchal publishes widely in professional journals and lectures internationally on medical herbalism, nutrition and health, and is author of Fibromyalgia – A Journey Toward Healing (McGraw Hill, 2002). She is also a certified Master Gardener and a certified Horticulture Therapist.
